Uber Pro Scam

Do you think you can earn some
serious money when you get Uber
Pro status? Well, think twice.

Supposedly, with Uber Pro, you gain some
incentives. But the thing is that you need to stick to strict Uber
rules
. High ratings, low cancelation, and low acceptance rates. And you
were thinking that you are an Independent Contractor. Well, you are
not. You need to kiss up to the customers without any guarantee of a high
rating. If you want to go to the bathroom, you cannot because you have to
accept all incoming trip requests.

First of all, you need to understand
where the Uber Pro money is coming from. The Uber Pro money was stolen
from you
. The money you are getting for rides is 50% or less of what Uber
charges customers. I understand that each company needs to make 25% of income
to allow growth. But 50% is exaggerated. You as an Independent contractor need
some money for your own growth. But how can you grow your business when all the
money you make is stolen from you, and you can only buy gas for your car and
maybe food once a day. Here is a random trip screenshot. And this is not the
worst payment I have received.

A typical random everyday trip where Driver receives 60% and Uber cashes in 40%

I have been giving rides to Uber passengers for over a year now, and I have given 5,400 rides. And Uber Pro sucks. It is not possible to get to Diamond status. And I have completed the required amount of trips. Since I give a lot of rides daily, there will always be some jerk passenger who will stick you with a 1-star rating for no reason. Maybe because his wife is cheating on him, or maybe his boss is a jerk too, or maybe he wants a free ride. So your rating will fall and just in time for an Uber Pro status update. Sorry, no bonus.

There is also another thing. Cancellations. You need to comply and pick up everybody, even Walmart mass shooters. If you know the neighborhood is bad, you can see it clearly in your app, but only when you accept the trip; otherwise, it is a mystery. You don’t want to go there, but after you accept the trip, you cannot cancel. The shooter is all yours. And you have to go and pick him up, give him a ride, and polish his shoes unless you want to lose your Pro status.

Do you really want to risk your life or health for $5.73? I know I don’t.

So Uber is stealing your money daily to give you pennies back in the form of Uber Pro. And that’s a maybe. And they are very proud of it. They say that you get: “Recognition in your rider’s app”. This is a lot like during the Stalin era in Eastern Europe. What you got for your slave work was not money to buy necessities, but rather recognition on the Worker’s Party board.

Communism is sneaking its way to the U.S. And we are all allowing it.
